"PolePole" means slowly, little by little, in Swahili. The Japanese manufacturer T-Lab has the heart to convey the artisanal work of wood. The original design, while round and smooth, makes these animals very endearing.
About T-Lab Japan
These beautiful, handmade collectables are made with non-composite natural wood from the Albizia tree. It is soft and light, and quite silky to the touch.
Cut, carved, finely sanded and finally hand painted, each piece is somewhat different and quite unique! Only skilled and meticulous artisans can achieve an almost identical result from one animal to another.
The Albizia tree is one of the quickest growing tropical trees and it is thought that they are more sustainable than others because of their rapid growth. They also help to combat deforestation. T-Lab also plants these trees as a way to repay the earth and preserve the forests.

Dispatch Times

Courier collections take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday around 12pm. If you receive your dispatch email after this time, your parcel may be handed to the courier on the next collection day.
Delivery Details
We currently use Evri for delivery, which typically takes 1–2 working days after dispatch to reach you.
Tracking details will be sent when your postage label is created—so you can start following your parcel's journey early. If you might not be home for delivery, we recommend setting a safe place or nominating a trusted neighbour to receive it for you.
